Singles Ladder League

A new, open singles ladder for members of every Leeds Tennis League club — play when it suits you, and climb by beating the players above you.

How high can you climb?

Can you reach the top and become the highest-ranked singles player in all of Leeds and the surrounding area?

Our Singles League is being relaunched as an online ranking ladder, in two separate competitions — a Men’s ladder and a Ladies ladder. There are no fixtures to organise and no challenges to issue — the ladder pairs you with an opponent automatically, helps you fix a time from your availability, and your ranking score moves you up or down. You can set how often you play, and pause when you’re away. It’s open to anyone who is a member of a club that plays in the Leeds Tennis League, at any standard.

Men’s Ladder Ladies Ladder

How it works

1

Join your ladder

Join the Men’s or Ladies ladder, where you’re placed in a tier of up to ten players. Climb yours to reach the tier above.

2

Get matched

The ladder picks your opponent from your ranking score, then helps you fix a time from your availability. No fixtures, no phone-tag.

3

Play a timed hour

Matches are timed — an hour by default. Most games when time’s up wins; level is a draw. The higher-ranked player hosts and books the court.

4

Climb or slide

Results move your ranking score up or down, and margins count. Each two-week block the top two go up and the bottom two go down — and unplayed matches drop you.

The ladder is on its way

We’re putting the finishing touches to the online ladder. Once it’s live you’ll be able to register, see your ladder and position, find your opponents’ contact details and enter results — all in one place.
